How to Make Green Tea

Green tea is an unfermented tea that retains most of the nutrients in the fresh leaves. The water temperature should not be too high when brewing below 90°C(194°F)  is appropriate; the brewing time should not be too long, otherwise the active substances in the tea will be destroyed.

In addition, there are several types of dry green tea. The following are divided into different types according to the shape of the tea:

1. Curly type

Bi Luo Chun green tea is a typical curly tea. Because the dry tea leaves are tightly wrapped together, the first steeping needs more time than other green teas to allow the tea leaves to stretch. The first steeping is recommended to be 15 seconds; the second steeping is 15-20 seconds; the third steeping is 20-25 seconds the fourth steeping is 25 seconds.
