This Jingdezhen artwork teaware is made of Chinese traditional lang yao red-glazed and enamel craftsmanship by Jingdezhen experienced ceramicist.

Lang Kiln Red, also known as Lang Hong, is one of the traditional Chinese red glazes.Langyao red is a type of high-fired red glaze that comes from the Jingdezhen kilns when they were supervised by Lang Tingji, the Governor of Jiangxi from 1705 to 1712, during the Kangxi reign of the Qing dynasty.

All single-color red glazes with strong red color (the color becomes darker toward the bottom of the tea set), strong glass texture, medium to large openings, and the fetal bones exposed due to glaze leakage at the mouth of the vessel can be classified as Langhong category. The real Langhong is the official kiln or official and civilian kiln fired in the Kangxi Dynasty.

Langyao Red - bright color, glossy glaze, strong brightness, and has the characteristics of "bright as a mirror, as moist as jade, and as red as blood". Because its color is as red as newly condensed cow's blood, it is also known as "ox blood red". Lang Yao Hong is called "sang de boeuf" in the West, which means "ox blood" in French. The glaze layer along its mouth is thin, and copper easily evaporates and oxidizes under high temperatures, so it shows a spiral white line, which is called "Lamp Grass Edge". Because the glaze flows naturally under high temperature, the glaze color becomes richer and brighter as it goes down, forming a hanging glaze. However, the bottom foot is turned to ensure that the glaze flow is not enough, so there is a saying that "the man who blurts out his mouth and hangs his feet does not flow".

Enamel: please look on the delicate enamel painted on the ware by the very experienced ceramic painters practicing over 30 years from Jingdezhen. The painted golden pigment is made from 24k pure gold.
