The Yaozhou Kiln in Tongchuan, Shaanxi Province, is one of the "six major kiln systems" of ceramic firing techniques in my country. Yaozhou porcelain is a thousand-year-old treasure of northern Chinese celadon, known for its unique Song Dynasty olive-green glaze and exquisite carving techniques. It is also famous for its firing techniques that are "as skillful as casting gold and as exquisite as carving jade".

Moon White Glaze Yaozhou Porcelain
Yaozhou kiln "Moon-White" glaze is a distinctive variety of celadon produced during the Jin Dynasty (1115–1234). Its glaze is clear and possesses a warm, jade-like luster, offering a more refined and pristine aesthetic.

Key characteristics include the glaze color and texture: the surface displays a delicate sky-blue or moon-white hue, exuding an elegant and ethereal quality. Unlike traditional olive-green celadon, the moon-white glaze has a pronounced vitreous quality, with tiny bubbles visible within the glaze layer. Regarding the body and form, the clay is fine-grained and dense; common vessel shapes include bowls, washer-basins, deep bowls, and jars. Some pieces feature exquisite incised floral designs, while others are minimalist and unadorned.
