What is Jin Jun Mei?

Jin Jun Mei is a prized variety of black tea, a branch of Lapsang Souchong. Established in 2005, it is a product of the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation. Renowned for its unique flavor and meticulous production process, it is hailed as a "rising star" among black teas.

A Precious Tea, Originating from Wuyi Mountain

The core production area of Jin Jun Mei is Tongmu Pass in Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province, the birthplace of black tea, boasting a uniquely pristine ecological environment.

High-Quality Raw Materials: Authentic Jin Jun Mei is made only from the single buds of high-altitude, ecologically grown tea trees. Producing 500 grams of dried tea requires tens of thousands of tender buds, making the raw material extremely precious.

Complex Processing: The entire process is handcrafted by tea masters. From picking, withering, and rolling to fermentation and drying, each step tests the tea maker's experience and skill, especially the fermentation stage, which directly determines the tea's final aroma and taste.

This Jin Jun Mei black tea comes from Tongmuguan, a core production area within the National Forest Park, where water embraces the mountains, and heavy mist hangs. The ecological environment is excellent, the forest coverage rate is as high as 96%, and the microclimate characteristics are obvious. Tea trees grow on the mountains, and the tea produced is rich in quality and has a unique herbal fragrance.

Tea Varieties: Laocong(aged tea tree) group species 

Origin: Fujian, Wuyi City, Tongmuguan 

Tea shape: single buds covered with golden tea fuzz. The colors are a mix of golden yellow and black, with more gray, black, and brown than golden yellow.

Tea features: The rich aroma of roses is intoxicating, with a strong and lasting honey fragrance. Water temperature 95℃-100℃ (203℉-212℉)

Water injection: fine water and high flushing, which is helpful to stimulate the aroma of tea leaves
