This Jingdezhen artwork teacup is painted with Chinese ball flowers and is made by Jingdezhen experienced craftsman. 

It is rare to see tea cups made of Jingdezhen jade clay, which is combined with enamel craftsmanship. The pure white and delicate cup body can better set off the beautiful enamel color. It is super translucent and beautiful under the light.

Ball flowers , also known as small cluster flowers, are irregular radial or rotating circular patterns. Ball flowers are usually less than 3 cm in size, and are gathered in groups of three or two, with a certain density, as decoration on objects.

Enamel color has the characteristics of thick, bright, opaque and rich layers, has a strong three-dimensional effect, and has the texture of an oil painting.

During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), French metal enamel craftsmanship was introduced to China. Later, through the innovation of Chinese craftsmen, Chinese mineral pigments were used and replaced with porcelain bodies, forming enamel-colored porcelain. Enamel-colored porcelain is an overglaze color (on-glaze decoration), After firing, the enamel-colored porcelain will feel convex to the touch.
The themes of enamel porcelain are mostly painted with symmetrical floral patterns such as peonies, roses, lotus, and chrysanthemums in colors such as yellow, red, blue, pea green, and purple.

A fully finished enamel artwork is usually fired five or six times.
