Huangshan Yellow Mountain Mao Feng Green Tea is among the top 10 Chinese tea produced in Huangshan. 

• The word "Huangshan" means Yellow Mountain.
• The word "mao" means hair or fur. It refers to the silvery, downy hairs that cover a pristine tea bud.
• The word "feng" means mountain peak. It refers to the tippy end of a tea bud, which is so pointed that it resembles the sharp contour of a typical Yellow Mountain peak.

What does a high end Huang Shan Mao Feng Green tea look and taste like? Here are some basic characteristics to watch out for:

• Uniform Fur Peak. The tea buds should be pointed and covered by downy hairs. There should be a high degree of uniformity.

• Orchid fragrance. Huang Shan Mao Feng has a characteristic orchid fragrance that is pure yet full of "nose," making it very pleasant to drink.

Tea aroma: delicate pure floral orchid aroma

Tea shape: The dried tea leaves are shaped like a bird's tongue, green with a hint of golden yellow. The buds are fat and exposed with fuzzy white hairs. The brewed tea leaves are tender yellow.

Tea Soup: The tea soup is light yellow, most transparent

Taste Features: it has a hint of light, sweet, clean, and smooth, gentle texture with a fresh floral orchid fragrance. Very Tender and soft flavor. 

Storage: To prolong shelf life, this tea should be stored in the refrigerator. However, please remember to let the tea get to room temperature before taking it from the tea bag when you take it from the fridge.

Brewing suggestions:

Recommended water temperature: 85℃-90℃ (185℉-194℉) Tea to water ratio: 1:35/1:40. If you brew Mao Feng with a teapot/Gaiwan, the steeping time, we would recommend you within 15s for the first-five brews. ( you can appropriately increase or decrease your steeping according to your taste)

If you brew Mao Feng in a glass cup, 2-3g for a 300ml cup, steeping time 1mn, you leave one-third of the water in the cup and continue to add water.
