Handpainted Chinese Peony Blue and White Porcelain Teapot Jingdezhen Ceramic Master Pottery Artwork
This Jingdezhen artwork teacup is painted with thetraditonal Chinese peony flower pattern by Jingdezhen experienced Pottery painter, Cao Heping.
Blue and white multicolor is a porcelain decoration technique that uses underglaze blue and white as one color and combines it with multiple colors on the glaze. The blue part of the pattern is first painted with underglaze blue and white. After the glaze is fired, the other parts are painted with overglaze color materials, and finally baked in the furnace. It flourished during the Jiajing and Wanli periods of the Ming Dynasty and was developed from Chenghua Doucai. But it is obviously different from Chenghua Doucai, that is, it does not use blue and white as the main color, but only uses blue and white as a color that makes up the entire picture and is on the same level as red, yellow, green and other colors.
This exquisite teaware takes two times to get burned in the cave after painting a Chinese landscape on it. There is also hand-signed signature of Master Cao Heping on the bottom of the teacup.
