This is a unique and traditional dyeing process of the Chinese Miao ethnic minority. During dyeing, the fabric is dyed gray with natural plants, and then the pattern of Guanyin holding a lotus is printed on it made by plant heating transfer print technology.

Plant dyeing is a dye extracted from plants that naturally contain pigments (roots, stems, flowers, leaves, fruits, peels, dry materials, etc.), and is dyed with natural fibers such as cotton, linen, silk, and wool. The handicraft technology is a kind of natural dyeing, which is a concept opposite to chemical dyeing.
