Jiu Qu Hong Mei Black Tea (Nine Bend Red Plum Black Tea)

About the origin of the name of Jiu Qu Hong Mei Black Tea:

  • "Jiuqu" refers to the source of the tea making process from the Jiuquxi area of ​​Wuyi Mountain in Fujian Province
  • "Red" refers to black tea
  • "Plum" refers to the light plum blossom fragrance of this tea

Raw material: The raw materials are produced from the slopes of Dawu Mountain, which is more than 500 meters high. The top of the mountain is a basin with sandpaper soil and fertile soil. It is surrounded by mountains and lush forests. It is adjacent to the Qiantang River, which is steaming, and the mountains are shrouded in clouds and mist, which is suitable for the growth of tea trees and the formation of quality.

Why is this Jiuquhongmei unique?

  • History: Jiu qu hong mei black tea is also known as "Jiuqu red", "Jiuqu wulong" and "Longjing red". It is one of the famous teas in Zhejiang tea area (the other famous tea is West Lake Longjing Green Tea).
  • Raw materials: This black tea is made from the Longjing No.43 tea cultivar, which can also be made into the famous Longjing green tea. The picking standard is one bud and two leaves.
