This excellent and elegant gaiwan was painted by an experienced Jingdezhen ceramic painter, and is hand-painted with an ancient Chinese poem - Spring Night Rain“春夜喜雨”.

Alum red is a low-temperature overglaze pigment in Chinese ceramics. It is a low-temperature red glaze and red color colored with a suspension of ferric oxide. It is also called "iron red", "red color" and "rainbow color". Its color often has an orange-like red.

Alum red teaware generally takes two times to get burned in the cave.
