Xinyang Maojian tea belongs to green tea and is one of the top 10 famous teas in China. As a traditional famous tea, Xinyang Maojian tea is named "Maojian" because of its tight and beautiful appearance, round and straight peaks, and full of white fuzz hair. It is also named "Xinyang Maojian" because it is produced in Xinyang, Henan.

The core production area of the raw materials for this tea comes from "Two Ponds and One Village". The two ponds refer to Heilongtan and Bailongtan, and the one village refers to Hejiazhai. These three production areas are next to Nanwan Lake, the first lake in Central China, and absorb the lake water from the upper reaches of Nanwan Lake for growth. At the same time, this production area is located at 32° north latitude, the golden area for the growth of tea trees, with an altitude of 500-800 meters. The tea mountains are continuous, the temperature difference between day and night is large, and the rainfall is abundant, so that the tea mountains are shrouded in a layer of clouds all year round, which is very conducive to the accumulation of substances in the tea trees. Since ancient times, there has been a saying that "high mountain clouds and fog produce good tea".

The production of Xinyang Maojian green tea is very time-consuming and labor-intensive, because 500 grams of finished tea can use up to 60,000 buds, which is a rare treasure.
The picking standard is that the buds of one bud and two leaves or above must be picked by hand, with hairy and pointed, small, tight and straight, and green tender tea buds. After picking, our tea master uses the nine traditional techniques of Xinyang Maojian to fry the finished tea, which is a tight needle-shaped dry tea leaf.
