This exquisite hand-painted artwork is a Chinese Jingdezhen craft - Duibai, also known as Gaibai, which is a process of using white porcelain clay to pile up and carve patterns on the porcelain body, and then applying white glaze and firing. Duibai craft was first created in the Ming Dynasty. It is a form of blank space in ceramic artworks. In addition to expressing patterns, it can also give it a three-dimensional visual effect.

Duibai consists of two parts, one is high-temperature colored glaze, and the other is a picture piece piled with white glaze. The high-temperature pink glaze is used as the base, and the cup body is filled with plum blossom and magpie patterns using the white-pile technique. The white-pile part is oily, clean, and thick as cream, and the pattern on the cup body is smart and natural. The pink base is tender, and the white porcelain inside the cup is elegant. The two complement each other, with a warm texture and very elegant.
