This Jingdezhen artwork teaware is made of traditional Chinese sprinkled blue-glazed and enamel craftsmanship by Jingdezhen experienced ceramicist.

Sprinkled blue is a porcelain glaze color, also known as "snowflake blue glaze". It was created in Jingdezhen during the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty and matured during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. "Sprinkled blue glaze" is a colored glaze with cobalt oxide as the colorant. The production process of sprinkled blue glaze is not a simple glaze dip, but on the fired white glaze, Jingdezhen craftsmen use bamboo tubes to dip blue glaze juice and blow it on the surface of the vessel to form uneven thickness and different depths of spots; then apply a layer of transparent thin glaze for high-temperature firing. The original white glaze base color seems to be falling snowflakes, hidden in the blue glaze. Because the glaze surface is like falling blue water drops, it is called "sprinkled blue"; and because the white glaze that is revealed is like snowflakes floating on the blue water surface, it is also called "snowflake blue".
