Shino ware (志野焼, Shino-yaki) is Japanese pottery, usually stoneware, originally from Mino Province, in present-day Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It emerged in the 16th century, but the use of shino glaze is now widespread, both in Japan and abroad.
This beautiful gaiwan is made of Chinese Jingdezhen ceramic mud and first of all, the ceramicist puts Shino glaze on it and then a special Soda glaze. The pot is processed under an electric cave and woodfired cave, that's why you can see the varied Shino ware and wood-fired beauty on one teapot.
There are two versions: style1 no hand-painted pattern
style2 hand-painted cat pattern
capacity: 130ml
dimension: please see the last photos
Please note: There will be some cracks on the surface of the pot, which is the natural cracking phenomenon of the porcelain glaze. After being soaked in tea for a long time, the depth of the lines are intertwined like the texture of cicada wings, which is beautiful and elegant.
P.S THE TEAPOT DOES NOT INCLUDE TEA TRAY.
